Jesus said, “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”
These truly comforting words of Jesus describe beautifully what life is like in Jesus Christ. His beloved children always see His inviting, outstretched arms before them every day of their lives. Our Lord Jesus Christ wants us to come to Him and find rest in His Word and His Sacraments. As we come, He wants to forgive and heal us again and again, and then send us forth renewed and refreshed to live in His grace, mercy, and peace. This is why Matthew 11:28 represents LIFE IN CHRIST Lutheran Church as a congregation, for it describes simply and fully our grace-filled life as children of Jesus Christ.
In Our Prayers: The ill and those under a doctor's care; those who mourn; our nation and our leaders; those who are alone, married couples and families with children; those who have special needs regarding physical and mental challenges; those actively serving in the military; those who are traveling; and those who are "outside" the church.
